Multi Material and Color Linking

I am on build 2024.3. I’m having an issue when I create a duplicate multi material, if I change the color, it changes the color for the original as well. I have multi colors set up in the color swatch menu. How do you unlink these colors? I’m also not seeing how to get the multi colors to show up in configurator. Thanks

Hi Billy,

After you duplicated your material, click on your color, then create a new multi-color from the first and finally change it to single color to remove the new multi-color set without delete your first one. That will unlink your colors.

An ‘unlike’ and ‘link duplicate’ choices in the color menu should be nice.

Thank you Pierre, that worked. I guess it’s not possible to create the multicolors prior to duplicating the material. If created in that order the colors stay linked.
